Mr. Sluggo

Mr. Sluggo is actually a chunk of mold I discovered floating in the bottom of a Snapple bottle.  Apparently, when the bottle was filled at the factory, the cap wasn't screwed on correctly.  This allowed air to seep in promoting mold growth.

A Snapple rep. assured me the soft drink was completely safe and that this "Happens all the time."  But I chose to keep it as a pet rather than enjoying it as a slimy, yet refreshing drink.

I bought Mr. Sluggo at a Houston area RaceTrac convenience store 80 months ago.

UPDATE - 5-11-2005
Mr. Sluggo still sits in our bedroom window, but the web cam hasn't worked in years. If you have a sluggo, send me a link to the picture and story and I'll post it!

Other Snapple Slugs:
  • One Bad Snapple
  • Doesn't say Snapple, but screams it
